ITINERARY
Day 1 Arrive Port Elizabeth
An easy start to your holiday as you meet a local, English speaking representative at the airport to pick up your hire car. Don’t forget, we can arrange your flights for you if you wish. Make your own way to your hotel and drop your bags. What better way to start your holiday than a stroll through Victoria Park, a visit to the Ezamaxhosa craft centre or bird watching in Settlers Park?
Day 2 Port Elizabeth to Knysna
Get ready for some superb coastal scenery as your journey takes you through the coastal towns of Jeffrey’s Bay and St Francis Bay. Onwards to Plettenberg Bay will you stop off at Monkeyland and Birds of Eden?
Days 3 & 4 Knysna
Two days to discover Knysna. How about a cruise along the lagoon and a visit to the Elephant Park? On day 4 why not take off to Oudtshoorn? The Cango Caves and the Safari Ostrich Farm await you here and provide two very unique experiences. Fancy a delicious ostrich steak for lunch? For your last night in Knynsa why not head down to the waterfront for dinner?
Day 5 Knysna to Mossel Bay
It’s off to Mossel Bay today but don’t miss out on stopping off at the Garden Route Game Lodge’s Day Visitor Centre. Here you can enjoy a game drive and perhaps lunch in the Serengeti Restaurant? Once in Mossel Bay, check out the Old Post Office Tree and the Diaz Museum complex.
Day 6 Mossel Bay to Stellenbosch
A fair drive today but a worthwhile one as you head for the famous wine region of Stellenbosch. The town itself is very pretty with its tree lined streets and elegant buildings. Time to stock up on your wine with a visit to the nearby wine estate.
Day 7 Stellenbosch to Cape Town
Before heading off to the vibrant city of Cape Town why not call in on Franschhoek and perhaps indulge in Huguenot’s fine chocolates or treat someone special at the diamond works!
Days 8 & 9 Cape Town
Two full days to explore Cape Town. Perhaps head out to the Cape Peninsula on day 8 visiting Hout Bay, Cape Point Nature Reserve and Boulders Beach Penguin Colony. Day 9 might be your day to become a city dweller – the aerial cable car up to Table Mountain is an absolute must.
Day 10 Depart Cape Town
Your amazing holiday may have come to an end as you return your car to the airport in the morning but your experiences will live on forever!
